Following interest in Action Learning Sets last year, I'd like to offer you an exclusive opportunity to be part of a Set starting in Q2 2026.
Sonali Kumarakulasinghe has kindly offered to facilitate a mini-set of 3 sessions for us - as long as there's interest and we can make the logistics work!
And, if this goes ahead, there's a bonus Q&A/Skills session included for this February Set.
What is Action Learning?
Action Learning is a powerful approach to making progress, where we combine what we know with reflection and insight to find a new way of addressing a challenge or opportunity. In these Set meetings, members will give and receive peer support in a safe and confidential space, with opportunities for reflection and accountability which further builds capability and personal resilience.
How many people will there be in the Set?
There will be 4-6 Set members which is small enough to enable all voices to be heard, and large enough to have the benefit of diverse perspectives.
How often, and when, will the Set meet?
The Set will meet three times, to enable every Set member to be the ‘Presenter’ i.e. to bring an opportunity or challenge that they would like support with at least once. The dates and times will be scheduled based on the availability of Set members; we anticipate this being over a three month period.
How long will Set meetings be?
Each Set meeting will be 2.5 hours, with two presenters at each Set meeting. This provides time for in-depth exploration of the Presenters’ opportunity or challenge, and for shared reflection by the Set. Over the 3 meetings, every Set member will have had an opportunity to bring one opportunity or challenge.
How is this different to the VIP Designer Drop-in’s?
The Designer Drop In’s are opportunities to get training design and delivery support from each other. Action Learning Sets are opportunities to bring personal, professional or business issues that you would like support with.
What are the fees for being a Set member?
The investment is £295 + VAT per person; this is a discounted price for TDC VIP members, reduced from the RRP of £395 + VAT per person. If there is continued interest, the intention is for any future Action Learning Sets to be open to non-VIP members at the RRP. Places for these Sets will be offered first to VIP members at the discounted price.
